Egypt’s 2025 Trade Report: Exports to International Blocs Up 16.8%

Egypt’s trade performance saw significant growth in 2025, with exports to international trade blocs where Egypt holds membership rising by 16.8% to $54.4 billion, up from $46.6 billion in 2024.

According to the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS), the Arab Free Trade Area (AFTA) remained the top destination for Egyptian goods, recording $19.8 billion in exports.

Beyond its own membership blocs, Egypt’s trade with major global entities—including the EU, NAFTA, and ASEAN—also demonstrated robust momentum. Exports to these non-member blocs grew by 13% to reach $21.7 billion.

While the European Union maintained its position as Egypt’s largest export market among non-member blocs, North American markets (NAFTA) saw a notable surge, with imports from the region jumping by 65% to $13.6 billion, reflecting a dynamic shift in Egypt’s international trade landscape.
