Midyan Developments Unveils 2027–2030 Growth Strategy to Expand Built-to-Own Portfolio

Midyan Developments Egypt’s first multi-sector developer operating under a Built-to-Own (BTO) model, has officially unveiled its 2027–2030 growth strategy.

Building upon its established foundation in K–12 education, higher education, and healthcare, the strategic roadmap marks a new chapter of expansion into new asset classes and geographic regions, while targeting the addition of one new operational asset to its portfolio annually.

Aligned with the Egyptian government’s national priorities and Vision 2030, Midyan’s Developments strategy focuses on human capital development and sustainable infrastructure through long-term private investments and specialized operator partnerships.

Since its inception in 2017, the group has developed a robust multi-sector portfolio exceeding EGP 12 billion in total combined investments.

Notable assets include the operational Alexandria International Academy (AIA)—the first school in Egypt qualified under the EBRD’s Green Economy Financing Facility—and the upcoming Alexandria British Academy (ABA), set to launch in September 2027 with IFC EDGE green building certification.

Expanding into higher education and healthcare, Median is developing Mediterranean University in Alexandria (MUA) via its subsidiary LDV for Development.

Designed to accommodate over 10,775 students across six faculties, the campus will feature an integrated university hospital with a capacity exceeding 250 beds.

Across its educational and healthcare initiatives, Midyan Developments aims to serve over 14,000 students and generate more than 2,500 permanent jobs alongside 8,000 construction-phase positions.

As part of its 2027–2030 expansion phase, the group is evaluating growth into new segments such as last-mile logistics, guided by its overarching philosophy, “Built to Endure.”
