SCZONE Breaks Ground on $190 Million Long March Tyre Factory in Sokhna

The General Authority of the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE) has officially broken ground on the new Long March Tyre (Egypt) factory within the Sokhna Industrial Zone, with a total investment of USD 190 million.

This strategic project, a subsidiary of China’s Chaoyang Longmarch Tyre, will be developed in two phases across a 200,000 m² site.

Once fully operational, the facility is set to produce up to 1 million Truck and Bus Radial (TBR) tyres and 4.5 million Passenger Car Radial (PCR) tyres annually.

Beyond boosting the local automotive supply chain, the project is expected to create approximately 1,500 direct jobs, aiming to serve both domestic demand and regional export markets.
