Supreme Council for Media Regulation Takes Action Over Hossam Hassan Privacy Violations

Supreme Council for Media Regulation in Egypt, headed by Eng. Khaled Abdel Aziz, has announced a series of strict measures addressing violations regarding the private and family life of Egypt’s national football team manager, Hossam Hassan.
The decisions include summoning the legal representatives of “Al-Nahar,” “Al-Shams,” and “Modern MTI” channels for hearings to investigate coverage that violated media codes and standards.
Furthermore, the Council mandated all media outlets, press, websites, and social media platforms to ban the appearance of Hossam Hassan’s wife, Dan Adam, indefinitely, and to halt publishing any related content.
The Council also reached out to the Egyptian Football Association to take appropriate actions regarding the crisis, emphasizing that respecting privacy and public morals is a pillar of responsible journalism.
