The Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE) has officially commenced the construction of the “Jieya Egypt” industrial complex, a major $67 million investment by Tongling Jieya Biotech Co., Ltd. Located in the Sokhna Integrated Zone within the TEDA Egypt expansion area, the 160,000-square-meter facility is set to become a regional hub for disposable hygiene products.
The project is expected to create 450 direct jobs and reach an annual production capacity of 8.1 billion units, with operations projected to begin within two years.
SCZONE Chairman Moustafa Shaikhon highlighted that this development underscores the robust strategic partnership between Egypt and China, while further strengthening SCZONE’s role as a vital manufacturing bridge connecting global markets.
By localizing advanced production and leveraging world-class infrastructure, the initiative aligns with Egypt’s vision for industrial growth and export expansion.
