Saudi Arabia’s air defenses successfully intercepted and destroyed multiple Houthi ballistic missiles and drones targeting the Kingdom’s Eastern and southern regions, as regional security concerns persist.
The interception comes amid heightened geopolitical activity across the Middle East, including regional diplomatic talks and ongoing preparations concerning US-Iran negotiations.
Concurrently, diplomatic efforts are underway in Tehran, where regional powers—including Iran, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Pakistan—have held high-level discussions under the Mecca Pact framework.
The talks focus on fostering endogenous regional security and cooperation, even as international monitors closely follow developments regarding US diplomatic terms and military readiness in the Gulf.
