SCZONE Chairman Witnesses the Signing of the “Avelon” Project in East Port Said Industrial Zone
Mr. Waleid Gamal El-Dien, Chairman of the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE), witnessed the signing ceremony of the “Avelon” project in the East Port Said Industrial Zone.
The project will be established on a 24,183 m² site during its first phase, with investments totaling USD 27 million.
The facility will manufacture technical textile products for construction and infrastructure applications, creating approximately 200 direct and 50 indirect jobs. It will direct its entire production to export markets, particularly the United States and Europe.
A future expansion phase for the project is currently under study, in line with plans to increase production capacities and support the localization of high-value-added manufacturing activities within East Port Said Industrial Zone.
Mr. Waleid Gamal El-Dien stated that the Avelon project reflects the growing attractiveness of East Port Said Industrial Zone for specialized industrial investments.
He noted that the integration between the East Port Said Industrial Zone and East Port Said Port provides investors with efficient logistical solutions and direct access to global markets, reinforcing SCZONE’s strategy to attract export-driven industries, enhance industrial value chains, and position Egypt as a regional hub for industry and logistics services.
