General Motors Integrates Google Gemini AI for Middle East Drivers

General Motors (GM) has officially launched an advanced in-vehicle artificial intelligence experience by integrating Google Gemini into its eligible vehicles across the Middle East.
Available for 2025 and newer Chevrolet, GMC, and Cadillac models equipped with Google built-in, this update transitions drivers from standard voice commands to a more natural, conversational AI assistant.
By leveraging the robust OnStar connectivity network, the new system allows users to interact with their vehicles fluidly, enabling tasks such as summarizing messages, planning complex multi-stop routes, drafting texts, and receiving personalized entertainment recommendations without the need for rigid input.
This deployment represents a significant milestone in GM’s broader AI strategy, aiming to transform the driving experience into a more intuitive, hands-free journey.
The rollout will occur over the coming months, with owners receiving notifications directly on their infotainment screens when the update becomes available.
While this integration offers a smarter, context-aware assistant today, it serves as a foundational step toward a deeper, native AI experience powered by OnStar, further cementing GM’s commitment to software-defined, connected mobility.
