A recent study by global consultancy Steward Redqueen reveals that the Coca-Cola system generated a USD 3.6 billion economic impact across the COMESA region in 2024, accounting for 0.3% of the region’s combined GDP.

Unveiled at the 19th COMESA Business Forum, the report highlights the company’s vital role in driving local industry growth and regional integration.

The study underscores Coca-Cola’s massive footprint in job creation, supporting over 458,200 direct and indirect jobs across sectors such as agriculture, manufacturing, retail, and transport—with every direct job supporting an additional 28 roles in the local economy.

Furthermore, the system spent nearly USD 1.5 billion on local suppliers within COMESA member states in 2024, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable development, local partnerships, and economic resilience.
