Egyptian Startup Simplex Expands CNC Manufacturing Footprint with $50 Million Facility in 10th of Ramadan City
In a major boost to Egypt’s industrial localized production, Egyptian tech startup Simplex—a leader in Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machinery assembly and manufacturing—has officially inaugurated its new $50 million expansion facility in 10th of Ramadan City.
Spanning 40,000 square meters, the state-of-the-art plant marks a significant milestone in the company’s journey from a humble university graduation project to a regional industrial powerhouse exporting to 34 countries across Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.
The high-profile inauguration ceremony was attended by Egypt’s Minister of Finance, H.E. Dr. Ahmed Kouchouk, alongside prominent diplomats, international partners, and financial leaders.
Co-founders Eng. Ahmed Shaaban (Chairman) and Eng. Mohamed Mansour (CCO) led guests through the newly operational assembly lines and unveiled Simplex’s latest CNC machinery, officially stamped with the “Proudly Made in Egypt” badge to mark the start of active production. Demonstrating its long-term commitment to sustainable growth, the company also laid the foundation stone for its third manufacturing plant during the event.
Aligning with its aggressive regional expansion strategy, Simplex announced new strategic partnership and agency agreements in Jordan and Kuwait to meet rising demand in Arab markets.
Supported by a workforce of over 400 professionals and a client base exceeding 4,500, the company’s new expansions are set to double total production capacity, streamline supply chains, and generate over 1,000 direct and 10,000 indirect job opportunities.
With cumulative sales surpassing $100 million, Simplex aims to leverage these new facilities to scale its current export share beyond 15% and reinforce the global competitiveness of Egyptian engineering solutions.
