SCZONE Chairman witnesses the signing of the “Alpha Smart” project

“Mr. Waleid Gamal El-Dien, Chairman of the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE), witnessed the signing of the “Alpha Smart” project contract for developing an integrated, ready-built factories complex in Sokhna Industrial Zone.
The project will be developed over a total area of 500,000 m² in two phases, with 250,000 m² allocated to each phase, and will involve direct investments of USD 100 million.
It is expected to attract additional industrial investments exceeding USD 150 million, while providing around 5,000 direct job opportunities and more than 7,000 indirect jobs.
The project aims to establish a fully integrated industrial ecosystem that enables production and operation within 90 days or less through fully equipped industrial units, integrated logistics services, business hubs, administrative and commercial facilities, as well as service and entertainment areas.
The first phase includes infrastructure and utilities development with a power capacity of 25 MW, along with the construction of 50% of the industrial units and the start of operations in the second year, while the second phase covers logistics and service expansions and the completion of the remaining project components until full operation is achieved.
Mr. Waleid Gamal El-Dien highlighted that the outstanding success of the plug-and-play model in Sokhna Industrial Zone has fueled the expansion of current projects and inspired new investors to join this advanced industrial model.
He emphasized that the zone’s strategic integration with Sokhna Port and its prime location on global trade routes significantly enhances its role in promoting industrial localization, boosting exports, and strengthening global supply chains.
