Dwight School Cairo Officially Inaugurated at Cairo Festival City Following Successful Phase One Launch

Dwight School Cairo at Cairo Festival City has been officially inaugurated by Omar Al Futtaim, Vice Chairman and CEO of Al-Futtaim; Mira Al Futtaim, Chief Future Education Officer at Al-Futtaim Education Foundation; and Dr. Blake Spahn, Vice Chancellor of the Dwight-Franklin Schools Group.

The landmark ceremony marks a major milestone in the strategic partnership between the Al-Futtaim Education Foundation and Dwight Schools, bringing a world-class, globally focused educational experience to Egypt.

The inauguration follows the school’s official opening on September 14, 2026, welcoming its first cohort of students for the 2026–27 academic year.

Phase One currently accommodates students from Pre-K through Grade 5 within state-of-the-art facilities—including flexible classrooms, a Makerspace, a library, and specialized learning zones—designed to foster creativity, collaboration, and well-being.

As part of its phased development plan, the campus will expand to introduce Grades 6 through 9 for the 2027–28 academic year.

The institution seamlessly combines the Al-Futtaim Education Foundation’s profound regional expertise and future-focused educational initiatives with Dwight Schools’ illustrious 154-year global legacy, which originated in New York in 1872.

Grounded in the foundational pillars of Personalized Learning, Global Vision, and Community, Dwight School Cairo connects its students to a thriving international network spanning New York, London, Seoul, Shanghai, Dubai, Hanoi, and Cairo.

Furthermore, the school leverages the expertise of the Al-Futtaim Education Foundation’s Centre for Excellence in Arabic to pioneer innovative Arabic-language teaching methodologies, ensuring students remain locally rooted while being globally connected.
