Madinet Masr CEO Abdallah Sallam Named Among Forbes Middle East’s Sustainability Leaders 2026

Madinet Masr announced that its President and CEO, Eng. Abdallah Sallam, has been ranked 13th in the Real Estate and Construction category on Forbes Middle East’s Sustainability Leaders 2026 list.

This marks Sallam’s ninth recognition by Forbes Middle East, highlighting his leadership in integrating environmental and social responsibility into the company’s long-term strategy since taking the helm in 2022.

A primary driver for this recognition is the “Buyut Al-Khalifa” initiative launched in 2025 in Historic Cairo.

Spanning 3,000 square meters, the project models sustainable urban regeneration by restoring historic buildings, rehabilitating public spaces, and preserving cultural identity.

Beyond heritage preservation, Madinet Masr is advancing operational sustainability at Taj City and Sarai through EV charging infrastructure, fleet electrification, rooftop solar panels, smart lighting, and energy-efficient cooling systems.
