Raya and Sungrow Double Down on Electra to Accelerate Egypt’s EV Revolution
Raya Smart Buildings and global renewable energy leader Sungrow have reinforced their strategic partnership to accelerate Egypt’s electric mobility transformation through “Electra,” Egypt’s fastest-growing EV charging network.
The collaboration was highlighted during a high-level meeting in Cairo featuring Sungrow Group VP Thompson Meng, Raya Holding Group CEO Ahmed Khalil, and Raya Smart Buildings CEO Ahmed Ibrahim.
Operating as Egypt’s category-defining EV brand, Electra currently sets the benchmark in the local market with its ultra-fast 180kW DC charging stations—powered by Sungrow’s advanced isolated air-cooling technology—spanning New Alamein City, Cairo, and major intercity corridors.
Looking ahead, both companies announced an ambitious roadmap to tackle local grid infrastructure challenges, introducing innovative solutions designed to unlock wider deployment, enhance energy efficiency, and cement Electra’s position as Egypt’s premier, scalable EV charging infrastructure network.
