Kuwait’s Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA) has activated emergency protocols and suspended all air traffic at Kuwait International Airport following a strike on Terminal One by missiles and drones.
The incident, attributed to an Iranian attack, has resulted in reported casualties and structural damage to airport facilities.
Spokesman Abdullah Al-Rajhi stated that authorities are prioritizing the safety of passengers and staff, with all incoming and outgoing flights currently being diverted to nearby regional airports.
Technical teams are currently on-site assessing the damage to initiate urgent repairs.
While the airport remains closed until further notice, officials are working to secure the site and implement contingency plans to facilitate the resumption of operations as soon as it is safe to do so.
