Vodafone Egypt Bolsters Commitment to Digital Transformation at BEBA Mission to the UK

Vodafone Egypt reaffirmed its role as a strategic driver of Egypt’s digital economy during the Egyptian British Business Association (BEBA) mission in the United Kingdom, held June 3–4. Under the theme “Egypt Moves Forward: Investment Opportunities and Sustainable Economic Reform,” the event highlighted Vodafone’s ongoing efforts to position Egypt as a premier regional hub for artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and advanced digital services.
With a legacy spanning over 28 years and cumulative investments exceeding EGP 125 billion, Vodafone Egypt currently serves over 55 million customers. Demonstrating continued confidence in the national market, the company announced plans to inject over EGP 20 billion in the 2026–2027 fiscal year. This investment strategy focuses on a comprehensive roadmap, including the deployment of 5G networks, the expansion of data centers, and the acceleration of cybersecurity and enterprise digital transformation projects.
During a high-level ministerial panel titled “Digital Egypt: Infrastructure, Innovation, and Investment Opportunities,” Vodafone Egypt CEO and Managing Director, Mohamed Abdallah, joined key stakeholders—including H.E. Dr. Mohamed Farid, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade—to discuss the future of the nation’s tech ecosystem. The discourse emphasized the critical role of international partnerships in leveraging Egypt’s digital infrastructure to serve markets across Africa, the Gulf, and Europe. By integrating global expertise with local potential, Vodafone continues to build the foundational framework necessary to transition Egypt into a knowledge-based, innovation-led digital economy.
