The Egyptian government is actively working to resolve long-standing financial entanglements between the National Media Authority (NMA) and the National Investment Bank (NIB).
Minister of Planning and Economic Development, Ahmed Rostom, recently held high-level discussions with NMA Chairperson Ahmed El-Mesallamy to expedite the settlement of the authority’s accumulated debts to the bank.
This initiative, which follows direct guidance from Egypt’s political leadership and Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, is part of a broader national strategy to restructure state entities and enhance the NIB’s financial solvency.
By clearing these historical debts, the government aims to enable the NIB to better fulfill its role as a key financing arm for Egypt’s economic and social development projects.
Both parties expressed commitment to a swift resolution, which is expected to provide the necessary support for the NMA’s comprehensive institutional and media development plans in the coming period.
