Narrative Summit 2026 Highlights Authentic Storytelling and Sustainable Value to Elevate Egypt’s Global Brand

Global figures in tourism, business, and development convened at the 10th edition of Narrative Summit in Somabay to examine how Egypt can leverage its cultural heritage, natural assets, and community achievements to strengthen its international appeal beyond traditional sightseeing.
Panelists at the “Branding Nations: The Global Appeal” session emphasized that a compelling national brand must align authentic storytelling with tangible local experiences, sustainable development, and economic opportunity.
Former UN Under-Secretary-General Ghada Waly highlighted that Egypt represents a unique set of values and experiences, noting that communicating its deep cultural identity requires a credible, strategic narrative.
International experts reinforced this view, with CBS News Travel Editor Peter Greenberg asserting that effective branding relies on properly sharing human-centered stories, while public affairs adviser Eirini Vantaraki cited lessons from Greece, emphasizing that national messaging must consistently reflect real-world experiences on the ground.
The discussion also highlighted practical models of sustainable growth shaping Egypt’s modern identity.
Rawya Mansour, Founder and Chairwoman of RAMSCO, demonstrated how inclusive development—such as her firm’s eco-village model featuring 90% female employment and biochar farming—proves that authentic social impact reinforces national branding.
The panel concluded that by integrating its historical legacy with community empowerment, environmental sustainability, and strategic communication, Egypt can build a highly competitive and credible global positioning.
