Egyptian Swiss Group Targets EGP 11 Billion Turnover and Expands Global Reach on World Pasta Day

Marking World Pasta Day and celebrating over 30 years of operations, the Egyptian Swiss Group for Pasta, Milling, Concentrates, and Grain Trading announced its target to achieve EGP 11 billion in turnover this year.

The group anticipates a 10% to 15% growth across its core business lines—including pasta, flour, tomato sauce, and grain trading—backed by an integrated operational model that has helped navigate global market volatility, exchange rate fluctuations, and supply chain disruptions.

To support its aggressive expansion strategy, the group has initiated a €5 million investment project to install an advanced Italian pasta production line, including state-of-the-art packaging machinery.

Additionally, the company is evaluating bank financing options to fund future phases of its five-year investment plan, which includes expanding milling capacity with new lines costing up to €5 million each, entering the ready-made sauces market, and launching solar energy projects to reduce its carbon footprint.

Currently accounting for 10% of Egypt’s pasta exports and 15% of its flour exports, the Egyptian Swiss Group exports nearly 80% of its total output to approximately 60 countries across Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Americas.

The company is actively pursuing new export markets, particularly in China, Europe, and the United States, while expanding its contract manufacturing partnerships with global brands in nations like Kenya, Yemen, and Zambia.

Despite rising global wheat costs and an exclusive reliance on imported grain, the group continues to balance its strong international presence with local commitments, supplying consumer brands and partnering with the Ministry of Supply to ensure affordable food products for the domestic market.
